Tournament system: Swiss tournament
Xiangqi.com is currently applying Swiss-system tournament on our tournament feature. Swiss is a non-eliminating tournament system which includes a fixed number of rounds. Players won’t play all the others and are expected to play in each round, unless there is an odd number of them. Each player meets one of the competitors with a similar running score in each round, and won’t the same opponent more than once.
The winner is the one with the highest aggregate points earned (Win +2 points, Draw +1 point, Lose +0 point). If players are tied on their scores, a tie-break score is used. The tie-break score we are using is Sonneborn–Berger score, which is 1 * (the score of opponents you have won) + 0.5 * (the score of opponents you have drawn)
